Manufacturing Supervisor

To lead and Supervise manufacturing operations team to safely ensure the on-time delivery of finished products at correct quality and cost. To champion continuous improvement in all activities and areas of responsibility.

Main Duties:

To manage your team to deliver products on time, to cost and at levels of quality compliant with programme demands.
To ensure your team operate in accordance with the Company’s, Health Environmental and Safety policies, lead SHE activities in your area.
Follow the Quality System and Manufacturing Procedures.
To maintain the competency, capability and capacity of the manufacturing team to ensure delivery of programme requirements.
To manage, train and coach Manufacturing team.
To follow production plans and maximise labour efficiency.
To manage local KPI’s analyse and establish improvement actions in line with business targets.
Manage consumable items within cost targets.
Conduct employee Return to Work, investigation and disciplinary interviews as required.
To lead/support problem solving activities as required
To be the focal point for the Assembly, Integration and Test operation and team
When starting the role, you will be required to spend several months at our partner, KMW, in Germany learning the Assembly, Integration and Test process. You will be responsible for transferring the production knowledge to WFEL in Stockport.

Goods Inwards Inspector

The role of the Goods Inwards Inspector is to ensure that goods received from suppliers meet the criteria of the purchase order and are compliant in all respects.

Main Duties:

To carry out Goods Inward inspection for all component parts entering the company, ensuring compliance to design specification and contractual requirements.
To identify and record any non-conformances to specification requirements.
To generate internal inspection reports
To review all external inspection reports and certification supplied with delivered product, to ensure they have been completed to the required standard and that they are fully compliant to the relevant specification requirements.
To produce and maintain accurate inspection records and look at reducing the goods inwards inspection frequency, by identifying positive compliance trends.
Ensure all inspection equipment is maintained, calibrated, and stored in the correct manner.
Work with Quality, Production, and Engineering, to determine most practicable/efficient goods inwards Inspection criteria and methods.
Support in identification of capability of the goods inwards inspection equipment.
Maintain the quarantine area.
Provide statistical information to establish goods inwards inspection KPIs.
Maintain documentation control requirements.
Communicate effectively with internal and external customers.

Welding Technician


To support the welding coordination team in enhancing the welding quality management system WQMS. Setting standards by helping develop WPS and ensuring welder training requirements/qualifications are maintained. Providing proactive support and guidance to the manufacturing teams to assure welding standards are adhered to.

Main Duties:

Report to and support the welding co-ordinator with day-to-day welding activities.
Assist with internal welder audits and the audit functions.
Help identify root causes of weld issues and internal weld audit NCRs.
Support and implement changes driven by welder audit NCRs.
Assist with the development of WSP/WPS as required for new product intake (NPI) and legacy programmes.
Assist with the planning and preparation of weld joints for welding procedure quality records (WPQRs). as required for new product intake (NPI) and legacy programmes.
Monitor WPS as instructed by the welding co-ordinator to ensure correct correlation of essential variables.
Support the ISO 3834 management system.
Assist with the development of welder qualification testing to the required standard.
Provide proactive support and guidance to welders.
Support production engineering where welding changes are required.
Support the business to ensure correct welding plant selection.
Assist / implement change with legacy programmes to ensure product quality is maintained whilst identifying areas to improve.
To carry out welding fabrication inspections.

NDE Technician

The NDE Technician will complete MPI & PT tests and inspection of products at various stages of production process, with an emphasis on non-destructive testing. Sets up and operates Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI) equipment.

Main Duties

Ensuring the product quality of materials that are fabricated on the shop floor in a timely manner.
Review part prints, procedures and work instructions to complete testing.
Performing Quality Inspections, including MPI & PT methods, verifying that parts or materials meet specifications indicated.
Sets up and performs non-destructive tests on materials, parts, or products to measure performance, life, or material characteristics: Positions parts between electrodes of magnetic testing equipment and activates switch to induce magnetic field that attracts and accumulates iron oxide particles at defective points.
Coordinating with Quality Manager on all applicable issues.
Documenting report, and corrective/preventative actions.
Ensures that equipment operates correctly.
Ensures compliance to the process for the Control of Records and Document Control Process.
Participation in problem solving activities, to mitigate the presence of defects identified.
